A.E.LANDES PHOTOGRAPHY

Welcome friends! My name is Abram Landes, and I am the owner and operator of A.E.Landes Photography, an event and portrait photography agency. Let me say that I love photography in all its forms, and I especially enjoy when I am allowed passage into another person’s life as a photographer. This happens at weddings, bar mitzvahs, fashion shows, engagement pictures, travel documentaries, office parties…. well, you get the idea. I find that representing personalities and events through images is extremely challenging, but the sense of reward I get after presenting a satisfied client with their images is hard to match.

I take a photojournalistic approach to almost all of my work - which means I really try hard not to pose people at weddings or during portraits. I much prefer the organic and energetic feel of unposed images, as emotions and expressions are hard to replicate when people are paying attention to the photographer. So, in other words, my goal is to make my clients feel as though I was just another guest with a camera. With formal pictures at weddings, I work quickly to get through them, while lightly posing the couple and offering suggestions as they interact with each other. I find this method is relaxing for the couple, and are done quickly so that you can enjoy the rest of your day and get to the reception with your friends and family.

I also prefer shooting portraits and engagement photos in your home or outdoors to open up more possibilities for interesting compositions as you interact with each other. I want you to get unique and unexpected portraits that will make your friends and family say, “Wow. You look amazing!” If your home doesn’t have great light for portraits, I have portable lighting equipment to get the shots you are looking for.
