Welcome back to the Alma Mater! Gina and Jeff are a great couple who came back up from the DC area to be married on Penn State’s beautiful campus, and I can’t blame them. We had gorgeous weather and a very flexible schedule with plenty of time in between the ceremony at the Eisenhower Chapel and the reception at the Nittany Lion Inn. We were able to hit all the great locations on campus for their formals, but my favorite was a simple shot from the inn’s lobby - a back-lit kissing shot frames this couple so nicely. And there’s nothing like the bride-and-groom’s mothers table-dancing during the reception. What a great time and such a great couple!

Blaire and Dan's Wedding Gallery

I met Blaire and Dan at her sister’s wedding last fall and needless to say, I was so happy to work with this wonderful family again! Blaire and Dan broke some of the traditional wedding rules - they had a very intimate ceremony with their families, and then broke out the cupcakes, a skateboard helmet, and dancing for the reception. For the couple’s shots, we made some great photographs outside in the back-lit leaves, and then moved inside for a fancy interior backdrop. Blaire’s beauty and Dan’s stoic demeanor made working with them so easy, and I can readily admit their devotion and love for one another is inspiring. You both have my best as you see the world together!

Wilderness 101 Mountain Bike Race

Wilderness 101 Mountain Bike Race

Well, well… What do we have here? 101 miles of mountain biking through some of the best/rockiest trails PA has to offer? I guess the next best thing to actually riding in the race is photographing it. It was a really damp and humid morning, with plenty of fog and sweaty rocks for the riders to roll over. I got a bit too excited by them coming through a mud puddle (I really needed to set up some off-camera flash to get the shots I wanted), but I think that the back-lit riders coming across the ominous Three Bridges section are some of my favorite mountain biking images yet.

Here is a quick gallery of the Wilderness 101 Mountain Bike Race.
