A.E.LANDES PHOTOGRAPHY

Jesse has been my friend for a long time (I first met him with long hair and a beard!), so for him to ask me to photograph his wedding was a real honor. I remember meeting Katie at another wedding a year ago, and just thinking to myself, “Yeah, this is the one.” We had big open ceilings for the ceremony which made a nice glowing bounce flash possible, but very dark and high ceilings for the reception, so I had to do direct flash for most of it. It was a pretty crowded space, so I managed to avoid a lot of big shadows behing people using this method. I had a great time seeing people I hadn’t seen in a long time, and thanks again Katie and Jesse. You have my best!

This wedding was filled with A LOT of roaring laughter, wild dancing, tender moments, and a great spectrum of emotions. I love all the pictures I got of Carmen laughing - there was a lot! The wedding ceremony and reception included only close family and friends, so it was a bit smaller than most weddings I have been a part of this year. However, the reception felt like it was 150 people instead of only 75, and it was a lot of fun catching candids and the antics of Carmen and Matt’s families.
